Pocket Monsters
Beginning your Journey
Red (the hero) is 11 years old. He lives with his mother in Masala Town and his childhood friend, Green, lives next door. For a short time, the 2 boys played together but recently Red and Green turned on each other. Somehow Green and Red, the same age, height and roughly similar in grades, seemed to be aware that they were each other's rival. One day, Red heard a rumor that a Dr. Orchid, who lived in town, was studying Pocket Monsters (nicknamed Pokemon). The voraciously curious Red could not contain himself.
At this time, Red stepped foward outside the city to go and hunt for Pokemon.

[Ohhh! It's gone into the bushes!]
The voice belonged to Dr. Orchid. Since wild Pokemon live in the thickets, there is great danger. They say that if you have your own Pokemon, you can make it fight...
Now, Red was accompanied into the Research Center. In there was the figure of Green.
Green was Dr. Orchid's grandson and they say that he had been summoned by the doctor. Dr. Orchid faced the two boys and told them:
[Here are 3 types of Pocket Monsters. Choose the one that is your favorite!]
Now, what awaits Red once he's picked up his Pokemon...?

Pokemon?
The Player's Objectives
Pokemon is the abbreviation for Pocket Monsters.
In this world it is said that there are over 100 different of Pokemon.
Pokemon grow and gather experience by fighting their fellow Pokemon.
In the beginning, the Pokemon does not have any skills except [japanesetext (body blow)] and [japanesetext (shake tail)].
Accompanying its growth, it memorizes power upped skills like [japanesetext (bite)] and [japanesetext (spit)].
In the meantime, there are Pokemon who change shape as they evolve!
  • Build the Perfect Picture Book!
Build the pefect picture book recording all of the Pokemon in this world. This is your goal. For this reason, Dr. Orchid hads you his hi-tech [Pokemon Picture Book], in which data about the Pokemon you've found is automatically written. To catch a Pokemon, you need a Monster Ball, which you can buy from the Friendly Shop in town. Using the Monster Ball, catch Pokemon throughout the world.
  • Defeat the 8 Leaders!
In the world of [Pocket Monsters], there are Pokemon Trainers who raise Pokemon and fight them. Also in this world, there are many Pokemon lovers (a lot of people who collect Pokemon like the adults who collect Electric Pokemon and the young insect collectors who catch Insect Pokemon) who are trying for Trainer. Now, there are training places which the Pokemon Trainers call [Pokemon Gyms] in the towns you'll visit and in each gym there is a leader and they've won everyone's respect. There are 8 leaders in the world and they await challengers who are confident in their abilities!
In order to build the Perfect Picture Book, you must not avoid or pass by the battles with those leaders!
