This is one of two four player adaptors Nintendo released for the NES. This adaptor is infared, and lets you hook up your controllers to it and then play some distance away. There is a small switch that says CTRL/GUN, can you hook a Zapper up to the second controller port and use it instead of a controller? Can you do this with the Four Score?

As with all infared video game stuff, it sucks batteries dry quickly, which gets expensive, and there is no plug for an AC adaptor, so you have to use batteries. Probably best for collection purposes, if you want a four player adaptor to use, buy a Four Score.
