Ah, the Power Glove. Definately one of the most famous, as well as
infamous, of all NES peripherals ever released. Few Nintendo accessories were as hyped as
this. Technically, this device was impressive for its days (I was told of a story of a
bunch of guys from some tech college who spliced this into a UNIX machine and used it for
virtual reality). However, this device really has no practical use, beyond the only game
made for it, Super Glove Ball from Mattel (another game, Glove Pilot and Manipulator Glove
Adventure were announced but never released. Oddly Super Glove Ball *was not* released in
Japan, the glove was only sold as a "unique" controller for use with the
exisiting Famicom library. It tanked, and bankrupted PAX, according to |tsr.
If anyone has a typed up or scanned copy of the setup guide that came with the Power
Glove, it would be greatly appreciated. I have a PDF copy of it in my possession, but
cannot put it up due to various issues.
