Around 1993, Bandai was developing a portable Super Famicom, which was also to be a laptop computer of sorts. This device had a 4" color LCD display, TV tuner, SFC cartridge port, built-in SFC controller, as well as the capability to connect a printer, fax, modem, and CD-ROM drive to it, as well as other accessories which were not yet announced. The abilities of the laptop computer end of the device are unknown to me, so I don't know what exactly, beyond the ability to play SFC games, this device was supposed to be able to do. I also don't know if the accessories were proprietary or you could use off-the-shelf stuff. Anyway, this device was never released, because of objections from Nintendo (not a big surprise), I think.
