From what I understand, CDs of game music are very
popular in Japan; the Final Fantasy music CDs were especially successful.
Apparently, these CDs are also popular here in the US, the Super Famicom
Museum Vol. 2 CD below sold on eBay for a whopping $66! (The other CD below
sold for $22.) The CDs below contain the actual music tracks off of various
Super Famicom games.
The CD above, "Super Famicom New Game Sound Museum Vol. 2", originally came with Super Famicom Magazine Vol 2. I don't know what year it's from, probably the very late 80's or early 90's. It has over 1 hour of music and 32 tracks which include Zelda, SD Gundam, Battle Commander, Dragonslayer, Thunder Spirits, Dimension Force and a lot more.
There is also another CD I am aware of, but have no pic unfortunately. The music on this CD includes "Art of Fighting (3 tracks)", "Street Fighter II Turbo (3 tracks)", "Battle Master (2 tracks)", "T.M.N.T Mutant Warriors (3 tracks)", "Fatal Fury 2 (4 tracks)", "Darius Force (2 tracks)", "Macros (3 tracks)", and more I don't know of. Anybody know what the name of this CD is?
