TeeV Golf

The TeeV Golf golf club is another specialty controller from Sports Sciences, the same people who brought us the Batter Up! baseball bat controller. The TeeV Golf is much like your everyday golf club, with about the same size, weight and feel. There is a sensor on the front of the face of the club, which sends a signal to a sensor box on the floor, which plugs into either SNES controller port, I believe.

Unlike the Batter Up!, this controller works only with the PGA Golf series from EA Sports; additional games can be supported using special adapters that can be purchased separately. Actually, I don't know whether the adapter is used on the cartridge or the TeeV Gold club itself, because Sports Sciences ads and websites don't actually specify that, oddly. The TeeV Golf club controller retailed for $129.95 (!), but the price has been lowered, and you can now get it for about half that price from Sports Sciences directly, as well as the adapters. Versions of the TeeV Golf club are also available for the Genesis and the PC (which is called PC Golf, appropriately enough).
